September 7, 2005, CAMINO, CA—Madroña Vineyards Winemaker and Vineyard Manager Paul Bush revealed an image update for the winery today, including a new slogan and marketing campaign that coincides with a bright new package designed to show off the vibrancy of this second-generation family business.
“Getting Into Wine” is the theme of the new campaign, which emphasizes wine appreciation as a lifelong journey. “I grew up around wine, and I grow wine for a living,” says Bush, whose parents Dick and Leslie Bush first planted grapes in El Dorado’s high elevations 30 years ago. “But for the rest of my life I’ll be getting into new grapes, winery techniques and ways to enjoy wine with my family and friends. We have always had that sort of fun, pro-active approach towards wine with our customers and we think our new slogan and package express this nicely.”
Building on their longstanding practice of including fun facts and “day in the life of a vineyard” reports in their newsletters, Paul Bush and his wife Maggie Bush, General Manager, have already begun to use the slogan “Get Into Wine. Get Into Madroña.”
“Our goal is to show you that the more you learn about wine, the more fun you have!” says Maggie Bush, who has incorporated the theme into the winery’s website, brochures, wine club newsletters and custom-made educational displays in their tasting room on El Dorado’s Apple Hill. “And perhaps when you learn about fine winemaking at this level, you’ll appreciate even more why our wines are so special.”
Located in the heart of El Dorado Wine Country in California, Madroña Vineyards has been producing small lots of award-winning wines for over 25 years. The Bush family enjoys making it fun for their guests to “Get Into Wine.”
